Amazing Tips For Creating Profitable Information Products! Part 2
In Part 1, I told you why you should create informational products, and why those electronic products are better than traditional print books from a bookstore. This is an extraordinary way to make money online. In this article, I’ll share five great tips so you can create your own profitable information products.
Tip 1: Think of the trade your customers are making.
Your customer is spending his hard-earned money on your information product. Make it worth his while! Wouldn’t you trade, say, $47 for information that would help you make $4700 a day? Of course, you would that’s a great deal!
I will also trade $47 for information that saves me 2 days learning how to do something. That is a no-brainer! I am less likely to trade $47 for cute stories, recipes or how to sew my own clothes. Get the picture? Make the trade very easy for your customer!
Tip 2: Tell the Customer HOW Your Product Will Help Them.
Will the information in your product:
make people money?
save their money
save people time?
avoid common pitfalls
If you can include one or more of these angles in an information product, you will have a real winner on your hands!
Tip 3: Break It Down For Them
Break your current info products into smaller sections, then sell them all together. Sound crazy? It’s not! Your client is spending $47 – would he rather get one e-book, or a series of three e-books? Give him three books, and he will feel as though he got more bang for his buck. What a great value!
Tip 4: Make the Purchase a “No-Brainer” – Add Bonus Material!
After you create an information product, go out an find about 5 to 6 related products that you can offer as bonuses. If I am buying a $47 ebook and you offer me $500 in downloadable bonuses, it makes the buying decision very easy. I recommend downloadable bonuses because they are easy to deliver and don’t cost you anything. This is also a good excuse to get their email for your owner’s list – you need their email to deliver their bonuses.
Tip 5: Don’t Forget Your Early Clients!
Too many online business owners make this mistake – they chase new clients relentlessly, while neglecting their current clients. Over time, those clients trickle away. Don’t let that happen to you. Take steps to ensure their continued loyalty, which they have already demonstrated by being your customer in the first place.
Look carefully at your niche. Ask your customers what they want, then find a way to provide it. You will become an expert in your field if you simply listen to what they are asking for, and then create informational products that meet your client’s needs. It’s incredible — and it really works!
