Promoting your Bed & Breakfast

Offering special promotions for your bed & breakfast can get people to secure reservations. This is a good way to generate what will become customers on a regular basis. It can have a spider effect too as those that stay are apt to tell a handful of others what you had to offer them. Hopefully it is enough to encourage them to contact you as well.

You can’t blindly be attempting to implement ways to promote your business though. You’ve to really take a look at what’s working well and where you can make some improvements. This way you can focus on promotions that will tie in with that. If you’ve too many empty rooms during the week then you need to promote that instead of deals for the weekends when you are already being booked to capacity on a regular basis.

You can also offer a free weeknight with a weekend buy. This can get guests to stay an extra day. Paying for two nights and getting three during the weekdays will also help guests to save money. They will find this appealing and definitely choose it over paying for a hotel room for three days.

Make sure you keep a close eye on the prices of your competition. If they offer similar services for a much lower price you’ll lose business to them. You will also need to be able to promote what you have to offer that they don’t. This way guests will decide that your bed & breakfast is more appealing and interesting to them.

Don’t pass over those that have already frequented your business though. It is harder to get new people than it is to keep current customers happy. Do all you can to make sure they know you appreciate their stay. Offer them special promotions that you send to their email account. Offer nice raffles and drawings where they can win fabulous prizes as well.

Since it is usual for people to share their experiences with others, you will likely get plenty of word of mouth. To get those tongues wagging even more though provide them with rewards for each person that they refer to you. Of course you only want to count those that keep their reservations.

It is usual to offer some types of specials that can be found on the web only as well. People can find all the information they need about your business online and then secure their reservation. This will save you time and effort and keep them happy as well. They will be very happy that they’ve saved money just by booking the room on their own.

Try to use as many ideas as you can to benefit your bed & breakfast business. You’ll be able to tell what’s working for you and what isn’t. Don’t be afraid to try some new things in order to generate continuous business. Eventually you want to get to the point where you’re having to turn away requests due to being booked all the time by delighted guests.
