Sell Your E-book On the web – Part 2
As I mentioned in part one, the ideal system to sell e-books on the web is through a single page website. Now that you’ve created an awe-inspiring and extraordinary headline, we can concentrate on other parts of your website for marketing information products.
There’s one important rule for writing sales copy – you list features, but customers buy benefits. Let’s go back to our wedding e-book. We may list features like the number of pages, professional advice, and interviews with specialists in the field. However, those don’t explain to the customer why they should purchase your e-book.
The benefits of your e-book are that your wedding will be beautiful, that you will not spend money needlessly, that you’ll save money, that you’ll be the envy of all your friends, that your wedding will be as unique as you are.
Costly advertising executives understand this, and sell products based on customer benefits.
The next time you see a commercial for a fast food restaurant, pay attention to what they’re selling. They don’t talk about the buns, or the meat, or the potatoes, all important features. Instead, they sell benefits – the chance to spend time with your family rather than cooking, or the opportunity to look cool in front of your friends.
I’m not saying you have to go that far. But I am saying that your website superior answer the question, “What’s in it for me? How will this e-book benefit me? How will this course benefit me? How will this video benefit me?” I can show you how to make audio products, but so what? I’ve to show you how that will benefit you, how it will create passive income, how it will create products, how it will create income stream. So, sell benefits. You can list features, but make sure you sell the benefits to market your information products.
You should also include testimonials on your website. Include references from people who have read your e-book, used your ideas, and enjoyed great results. You should also include a moneyback guarantee – this will make your customers feel more secure when they purchase your e-book. Last but not least, don’t forget the “Buy It” button!
