How to Get the Most Out of Your Blog
Blogs, formally known as web logs have completely transformed over the past few years from personal logs, as marketers quickly realized the advertising potential of them, into serious marketing tools for nearly anything on the web. Blogs help making relationships much easier than marketing websites and people more easily develop relationships which builds trust and therefore makes sales easier to reach.
Setting up a blog is very simple and easy to do and once made you’ve plenty of ways of monetizing your blog and also changing it’s appearance to suit your business without knowing any coding or html. You can place strategic links on your blog to your business web site either directly or via RSS. If you want to create a blog then here’s some advice on how to run it to your ideal advantage.
1, Your audience. You’re writing your blog post for your audience to read, so don’t forget that what you write is of interest to them. They’ve searched for through a keyword, or keyword phrase, and arrived at your blog. So, make sure they are happy with what they find and even interested enough to look a little further into your blog, and maybe visit your website.
2, Text sends you to sleep. Massive areas of pure text are like a sleeping draft to most visitors and they’ll be ‘overfaced’ thinking “I’ll never get to the end of this!” and most likely they’ll click away you’ll have lost your visitor. Place relevant photos amongst your text to break it up a little. This adds extra interest for the visitor and you’re like to keep them engaged longer.
3, The content needs to be relevant. The posts made to your business blog need to be relevant to the subject of the blog. In other words the blog is set up around your niche market and with keywords and keyword phrases that are relevant to the subject. The intent is to draw traffic to your blog based on those keywords and keyword phrases. The business blog needs to create a special relationship with its visitors with the aim to sell products or services/ If you consistently write good quality posts to your blog the visitor will return for more of the “good stuff”, and will eventually trust that you know what you’re talking about and buy one of your recommended products or services.
4, Simple English. The secret of a good post is to write in language your visitors can easily comprehend. Everybody out there isn’t a graduate and you can easily put people off if your text is too full of technical jargon and overly massive words. Short snappy sentences and paragraphs with plenty white space makes for a superior read.
5, The “Comments” option in blog should always be left on. You want to know what your visitors are thinking and whether they enjoyed your posts and possibly they’ll tell you what they want to hear more about. This is pure gold to any blogger. Your visitors are virtually writing your blog for you. They may even comment an opposite point of view from yours but that is a good thing! It’s all relevant content which is great for other visitors and conversation is always good. Don’t forget to set your comments to “Must be approved” to deter spammers.
The number one task you must do before even installing a blog anywhere is have your plan of action ready. You need to be committed to submitting new content on a regular basis and answering posts that need to be answered. Don’t forget your comments posters also give you their email address so this is another valuable resource for any world wide web marketer.
