Read Books, Boost Conversions
Are you interested in getting superior results from your copy? There are many great books on copywriting and marketing that can help you. You can learn how to write copy that sells by reading books on the subject. Even books that are on different topics can improve your writing skills.
Great writers improve their writing by reading books. This is a great way to improve your skills in the copywriting field, too. Today, I’ll offer you a few suggestions for books that will swiftly boost your copywriting results.
Here are three books on the subject of copywriting, and one is off the subject, that I’ve for you.
First, I would recommend Robert Collier’s wonderful tome, The Robert Collier Letter Book. Collier himself wrote many of the ads featured in his book, a classic in the copywriting and marketing field. The language is old-fashioned, even quaint, but the basic principles are powerful.
My third choice is Reason Why Advertising, by John E. Kennedy. While it isn’t easy to find, it is highly-recommended. I’ll provide you with resources to find this book, among others, at the end of this article.
My final choice may raise a few eyebrows, but it’s not as silly as it seems. Green Eggs and Ham is not about copywriting, true. But it IS about selling! Enjoy this Dr. Seuss book at any time – with a fox, in a box or with a mouse, in a house.
It might seem silly to read a children’s book to improve your business, but this book is all about persistence in making a sale. Dr. Seuss instructs us valuable marketing lessons which we have the ability to apply to our advertising strategy. Convert more clients into buyers – read Dr. Seuss!
I promised you a valuable resource, and here it is. Check out www.SFSBookstore.com. Bret Ridgeway of Speaker Fulfillment Services runs the site. His specialty is finding hard-to-find books on copywriting and marketing. If you are looking for any similar books, I heartily recommend checking out his site.
Finding and reading good books on copywriting and marketing is one of the best investments you can make for your business. The books I’ve recommended represent a very inexpensive way to start your copywriting and marketing library. They won’t cost you an arm and a leg, but they’ll pay you back in ways you can’t even envision. But, trust me, these are some of the best investments you can make in your copywriting skill set.
